  • description: The Bells at Temple Square will present their concert Ring, Rejoice, Rise June 12, 2026, at the historic Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. MDT. Under the direction of Conductor Geoff Anderson and Associate Conductor Mat Ulmer, the 32-member handbell choir will present an inspiring evening of music, performed on two 7-octave sets of English handbells and handchimes. The program features the beloved "God of Our Fathers" alongside Sousa’s stirring march "Semper Fidelis," celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. Themes of light, wonder, and the heavens shine through Fred Gramann’s "Everlasting Light" and Jason Krug’s "Escape Velocity" and "Pale Blue Dot." Rounding out the evening will be jazz standards "Fly Me to the Moon" and the effervescent "São Paulo" by Elizabeth Peters. One highlight not to be missed will be the ever-reaching "Determination" by Alex Guebert with its themes of courage and strength. Solos by Tabernacle Organists Linda Margetts and Joseph Peeples will also be featured on the famed organ.
